St. Mary of Egypt

Handpainted · December 2025

The Church tells us that St. Mary of Egypt turned away from her former life and devoted herself to God. According to her life story, she spent 47 years praying and struggling in the desert, where Abba Zosimas later met her and brought her Holy Communion. Her story reminds us that no one is beyond God’s mercy and forgiveness.
